Dearest Grandchild,

It is with some reluctance that I write to you about “climate change”. What you believe, or don’t believe about climate change is not a matter of salvation. I mention it to encourage you to be independent thinkers. Please don’t be stampeded into any position just because “everybody says so”.

We have mentioned before, that a “university” is supposed to be a place where we can find “unity” in “diversity”. All ideas, regardless of how radical or different, should be welcomed and tested at a university. Unfortunately, our modern universities are becoming propaganda factories where some ideas are not welcome. For example, Ball State University president Jo Ann Gora announced that the school would no longer teach intelligent design California State University scientist Mark Armitage claims that he was fired for publishing a paper suggesting that soft tissue he found in a triceratops indicated that the animal died no more than 4000 years ago. The official creed of the college is that the triceratops became extinct 65 million years ago. So much for unity in diversity.

Since our last letter dealt with the “redistribution of wealth” this letter is a follow up. What does the “redistribution of wealth” have to do with “climate change”? I”m glad you asked. I am convinced that those who promote “climate change” have a hidden agenda that involves the redistribution of wealth.

Before you were born, in the 1970's, “scientists” were pushing the idea of “global cooling”. In 1977 Time Magazine featured a penguin on an iceberg with dire warnings about the “Coming Ice Age”. When that didn’t happen, “scientists” then claimed that the earth was “warming”. When that didn’t happen they selected a slogan that could never be proven wrong “climate change”.

It ought to raise a red flag, however, to realize that the “cure” for “global cooling” is the same as the “cure” for “global warming”. The “cure” is to restrict the production of rich countries and make them equal with poor countries. If you think this is not so, consider this quote in Investor’s Business Daily from U. N. climate official Ottmar Edenhofer. Edenhofer said: “One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with the environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole.” Edenhofer co-chaired the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group on Mitigation of Climate Change from 2008 to 2015.

So what is the goal of environmental policy?

Edenhofer continued: “We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy . . . the next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.”

The militant nature of these propagandists is reflected by a bill introduced in California to

insist that the first amendment right to free speech does not include the right to deny global warming. It is Senate Bill 1161, or the California Climate Science Truth and Accountability Act of 2016 . The measure would allow state and local prosecutors to pursue claims against climate-change skepticism as a violation of the state’s Unfair Competition Law [UCL], as well as extend the four-year statute of limitations for such claims retroactively to Jan. 1, 2021.

Christopher Booker wrote in Feb. 2015, “When future generations look back on the global-warming scare of the past 30 years, nothing will shock them more than the extent to which the official temperature records – on which the entire panic ultimately rested – were systematically ‘adjusted’ to show the Earth as having warmed much more than the actual data justified.”

George Orwell, author of 1984, predicted that “In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”

So today’s letter is about much more than “climate change”. Jesus warned that the “last days” would be like the days of Noah. Just think of the pressure Noah and his family must have experienced. Remember! At the time Noah lived it had never rained upon the earth. A mist went up from the earth to provide moisture (See Genesis 2:6) Since there was no rain in those days, there was no rainbow. It was after the flood that the rainbow appeared (Gen. 9:12 - 16), and that the climate of earth was divided into seasons (Gen. 8:22). In those days there was some real “climate change”.

Proof of this radical climate change is found in such places as the Siberian Arctic. Here we find an abundance of frozen fossils of grass eating mammals like wooly mammoths, rhinos, musk ox, antelope, deer, bear, horse and more than 50 other species. As you probably know, many of these mammals were frozen before they could decay . Some of them have undigested tropical vegetation in their stomachs. I think this happened at the time of the flood.

Everyone has a right to his own opinion, but no one has a right his “own facts”. Please do not let close minded bullies force you to go against the facts.
