Dearest grandchild,

Jesus warned his disciples: “Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14) If you are wondering how anyone could possibly follow a blind guide, please consider the following:

In February 1964, four paintings by a previously unknown avant-garde French artist named Pierre Brassau were exhibited at an art show in Göteborg, Sweden. Also at the show were works by other artists from England, Denmark, Austria, Italy, and Sweden. It was the works of the French artist, however, that attracted all the attention. “Art critics, journalists, and students, glasses of wine in hand, silently contemplated Brassau's creations. Their praise was almost unanimous. “Rolf Anderberg of the morning Posten later wrote that most of the works at the show were ‘ponderous’, but not those of Brassau: “ Pierre Brassau paints with powerful strokes, but also with clear determination. His brush strokes twist with furious fastidiousness. Pierre is an artist who performs with the delicacy of a ballet dancer.”

Sadly it was a hoax! Pierre Brassau was in fact a four-year-old chimpanzee named Peter from the Boras Djurpark Zoo in Sweden. The hoax was conceived by Åke "Dacke" Axelsson who was a journalist with the Swedish tabloid, Göteborgs-Tidningen. Axelsson arrived at Peter’s new name by condensing the Zoo’s name “Boras Djurpark” to “Brassau”. Axelsson wanted to see if art critics of Avant-garde modern art could tell the difference between true art and the random strokes of a chimpanzee. They couldn’t!

The Museum of Hoaxes explained: “Axelsson persuaded Peter's 17-year-old keeper to give the chimpanzee a brush and oil paints. Initially Peter preferred eating the paint to placing it on a canvas. He especially liked the tart flavor of the cobalt blue. But eventually he started smearing paint on the canvases provided to him. Because of his taste preferences, cobalt blue featured heavily in his work.”

“When painting, Peter always had a bunch of bananas close at hand. The rate at which the chimp consumed them matched his level of creativity. During periods of great inspiration, he would eat as many as 9 bananas in ten minutes.”

“In 1969 Peter was transferred to the Chester Zoo in England, where he lived out the remainder of his life.”

Apparently the story of Pierre Brassau is not unique. An ape named Congo did 400 paintings that were put on display in 1957. Three of these paintings sold at auction for a combined price tag of $250,000. Gerado Pons wrote in a Florida newspaper December 5, 2023 “Paintings made by rescued chimpanzees are set to be on display at Miami's famed Art Basel art festival, with some being put up for grabs for as much as $10,000.”

Pablo Picasso was a human who made millions selling “modern art”. His painting Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') (1955), sold for a record $179.4 million at Christie's in 2015. A columnist for “The Washington Post” quoted him as admitting to be a public entertainer exploiting the foolishness, vanity, and greed of his contemporaries. He said that he “merely sought to please master and critic with the new, the strange, the original, the extravagant, the scandalous … the less they understood them the more they admired me.”

The loss of money, however, is a small price to pay by comparison with Chloe Cole. Chloe was born July 27, 2004. Chloe was diagnosed with gender dysphoria at the age of 9. She was treated by Kaiser Permanente clinics in the San Francisco Bay area. Someone put the idea in her head that she may actually be a boy. At age 12 she began binding her breasts. At age 13 she began taking puberty blockers and a month later started taking testosterone injections which she continued for two years. At age 15 she had a double mastectomy. All of this was done to her before she was even old enough to get a driver’s license. She was lied to and told that having her breasts cut off was “gender affirming care.” At age 17 she came to her senses, reverted to her birth name, and did not even know that detransitioners existed until she was one.

Wickipedia said of her: “Starting in May 2022, Cole began testifying in the United States against medical transition and appeared on Fox News to denounce gender-affirming care for minors. She has said that neither minors nor their parents should be able to consent to such care and that parents face "extreme external pressures to consent."Cole's views on gender-affirming care for minors diverge from those of most major associations of medical professionals, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, American Psychological Association, and WPATH.”

On December 28, 2023 the New York Post ran a story about a boy name Kobe who was castrated and became a “patient for life” because he also received “gender affirming” care. Kobe told his parents that he was transgender at age 11. At 13, Kobe said that older trans people online instructed him, as well as other kids, to “play the suicide card” in order to get chemical interventions. Now he regrets being castrated, but it is too late!

It is sad to see people lose their money following blind guides. It is even sadder to see people lose their health because they followed blind guides. The ultimate loss, however, involves eternity! “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” (1 John 1:5-7)
