Dearest grandchild,

Today’s letter will deal with arrogant individuals who think they are god. One such person is billionaire George Soros. Perhaps you have seen his quotes:

“George Soros claims he is a god and “the creator of everything,” however the billionaire globalist also warns he is a “self-centered” god who believes “normal rules do not apply” to him. - (The American People News)

Etc.

This irrational claim, of course, is nothing new. Soros, and others like him, are only echoing the words of Satan himself. Satan, also known as Lucifer, actually thought he was God. He said: “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” (Isa 14:13-14)

Such a claim can be dangerous. Just as Satan was a liar and a murderer from the very beginning,(Jn. 8:44) those who follow in his evil steps can also create death and destruction. Karl Marx, for example, thought he was God. The World Net Daily estimates that he was responsible for the deaths of 110 million people from 1917 - 1987. Here is a poem he composed:

With disdain, I will throw my gauntlet

Full in the face of the world.

And see the collapse of this pygmy giant, Whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious

Through the ruins of the world

And giving my words an active force,

I will feel equal to the Creator.

Perhaps you have not heard of Robert Maxwell. He was another arrogant billionaire from a previous generation. He died in 1991, probably by suicide. Maxwell was born in poverty in 1923 in rural Czechoslovakia. He became a millionaire, however, in 1964. Unfortunately, this milestone of success only inspired him to be more greedy. Like everything revolves around God, Maxwell wanted everything to revolve around him. One employee noted this and said: “Maxwell was the sun, and we were planets or had to leave.” His self adulation prompted him seek to destroy anyone who stood in his way. John Kenny, a London media analyst, said: “We all believed him to be a crook, but to say so in public meant a barrage of litigation”. Maxwell hired so many private detectives that he could sue all of his critics into silence.

In retrospect, it seems that he was indeed a crook. He is known to have stolen at least 1.65 billion from public companies and another $795 million from the pension funds of his own employees. Incredibly, in 1988, he was even accused of ripping off Mother Teresa for $300,000,000. Some consider him the biggest thief in British history. When ordered by a British court to pay $700,000,000 he declared bankruptcy. On Oct. 31, 1991 he boarded his yacht a final time. His body was discovered five days later.

Death by suicide is not unusual for those who are deceived by Satan. Judas, Cato the Younger, Cleopatra, Alexander the Great, Hitler, and many others have been tricked into believing that everything revolved around them. Detectives refer to a certain M.O. or “modus operandi” of criminals. The devil’s M.O. is self destruction. He tricks you into thinking you are God, and then systematically deceives you into self destruction when you discover you are not.

You don’t have to be a billionaire to play God. Adam and Eve were not billionaires, but the devil tricked them too. They naively believed that they could disregard what God said and decide for themselves what was right or wrong. That’s the way that death entered into the world.

Take another look at this familiar story about forbidden fruit from the book of Genesis.

God told them that it was wrong to eat the forbidden fruit.

The devil deceived them into believing they could disregard God and decide for themselves what was right or wrong.

Millions of people today also believe they can disregard God and decide for themselves what is right or wrong.

The supreme court feels they can disregard God and decide for themselves what is right or wrong.

Many of your peers also feel they can disregard God and decide for themselves what is right or wrong.

God, however, is the only One Who decides what is right or wrong. Please do not be deceived into thinking you are God and can decide for yourselves what is right or wrong.

Ancient Corinth was one of the most wicked cities on earth. They foolishly believed that they could disregard God and make their own moral standards. They were deceived, but Paul didn’t want the followers of Christ to be deceived. That’s why he wrote: “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Cor 6:9-11)
